It's so important that college dining halls accommodate different eating tastes. Otherwise, students can feel alienated. When I toured colleges with my sons, I noticed that most have solid, healthy options for everyone (gluten-free, kosher, vegetarian).

I really enjoyed reading this. I went to college in the late 80"s and was on the meal plan. There was no swiping then - I forget on we proved that we were on the plan. While the food wasn't close to what it seems to be like today, I have such fond memories of being able to dine with friends, or alone.
